Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, registering, or using the Brote Montessori application (hereinafter, "the App"), you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the App.
2. What Brote Montessori is
Brote Montessori is an application that offers activities, guides, and content of an informational and educational nature inspired by Montessori and Pikler principles, to support mothers, fathers, and caregivers in the development of their babies and young children.
Important notice: the content is informational, not professional.
Brote Montessori is not a medical, psychological, healthcare, or diagnostic service, and its content does not under any circumstances replace the advice, diagnosis, or treatment of a qualified professional (pediatrician, doctor, psychologist, therapist, or other).
Information about child development, emotional wellbeing, postpartum depression, or crisis situations is for informational and educational purposes only. For any concern about your health or your baby's health, always consult a professional. If you or someone in your care is in an emergency or crisis situation, immediately contact your country's emergency services or a professional help line.
Brote Montessori is not responsible for decisions you make based on the App's content.
3. Who can use the App
The App is intended exclusively for people over 18 years of age. By using it, you declare that you are of legal age and, if you enter a minor's data, that you have the legal authority to do so (parental authority or legal representation).
4. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs in your account. Notify us if you detect unauthorized use.
5. Subscriptions and payments
- The App may offer free features and paid features through subscription.
- Subscriptions are managed and charged through Google Play, according to its terms.
- Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, unless you cancel before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Google Play account.
- Refunds are governed by Google Play's policies.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or data.
- Copy, distribute, or exploit the App's content without permission.
- Enter third-party data (including minors) without the corresponding legal authorization.
7. Intellectual property
All content in the App (text, activities, design, brand, and materials) is the property of Brote Montessori / Cristian Camilo Bernal Torres, or is used with due authorization. The content you create (your diaries, observations, and notes) remains yours; you grant us only the permission necessary to store it and display it to you within the App.
8. Limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is," without warranties that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Brote Montessori will not be liable for indirect damages or damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, nor for decisions made based on its informational content.
9. Cancellation
You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time from within the App. We may suspend or cancel access for users who breach these terms.
10. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will update the date at the top of the document and, if the changes are significant, we will notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after the changes implies acceptance.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without prejudice to the rights you may have as a consumer in your country of residence.
